This week I will be teaching the students about the Five Fitness Components of Physical Activity. I will have them watch the following video and will be handing out a paper explaining it. Then we will be playing a fun game to help them remember. If they are having any problems, have them watch the video again and look at the worksheet. This will be a good resource for them later on in the semester. Thanks!! Fitness Components

This week we are starting our Fitness Logs. I am sending home the papers with the students this week. Some may have gotten them last week. They are worth 3 points every week Right now, I would like the students to be physically active at least 3 days a week for 15 mins. If they are physically active more than that, I would like them to still put this on their log. I will count almost anything as physical activity as long as they are moving. This includes cleaning (sweeping, mopping), shopping with parents at the store, skateboarding, walking, trampoline time, and any sports. They students are allowed to be creative. If they log one hour in a day, that is ok, but I would like to focus on really getting 3 days a week in. At the end of the week, I would like the parents to sign the paper. There is a place on the log about Fitness Components. This week, they do not need to fill this out. We will be working on that later this month. I will explain more as time goes on.
Thanks! Have fun! Hello! I am so excited for this year! I have sent a syllabus home with every student in my class explaining the class rules, expectations, and grading system. I have asked the students to please read this over with their parents, sign it, and bring it back to me. If your student is still missing this assignment, it is worth 5 points, so please talk this over with them. I will post a the syllabus in case it has been misplaced.
